2026 Stand & Delivers

The purpose of Stand and Deliver is to teach students how to enjoy the process of preparing to give his/her best at a speech contest.

If you are ready to learn the speaking strategies and advice used by Professional Speakers and state winning speakers, Stand and Deliver is for you. Stand and Deliver started in 1999 and has sharpened the presentation skills of almost 10,000 7th through 12th grade FFA members.

Professional Speakers Kelly Barnes and Rhett Laubach are ready once more to give you everything they know on how to be your best at Extemporaneous, Prepared and Creed CDEs. The Stand and Deliver conferences will push the veterans and get the beginning speakers up to speed.

• Each conference runs from 9 am to Noon.

• The training is for 7h through 12th grade FFA members.

• The fee is $30 per student. Payment is due the day of the training.  Checks should be made to YourNextSpeaker, LLC. If you need to pay via a PO, just let us know when you register.

• Your chapter can attend any training that fits your schedule.

• Casual attire is preferred.

EACH ATTENDEE WILL LEARN HOW TO:

• Develop the confidence to deliver a speech.

• Have fun and enjoy the process.

• Pick a topic worth studying for hours.

• Format a clear, easy-to-follow outline.

• Research and write an engaging speech.

• Easily and quickly memorize.

• Develop, practice and perform effective body language.

• Prepare, practice and perform a high-scoring Q&A session.

• Control nerves before and on contest day.

• Special Session: Effectively prepare, practice and deliver the FFA Creed.

• Special Session: Effectively prepare, practice and deliver an extemporaneous speech.
